Marie France Boisvert, Executive Director
Marie France has very strong ties to the Eastern Townships where she was born and raised. Her father was the director of the Tuberculosis Department and the director of the Health Unit. Her mom was a nurse.
She graduated at Bishop’s University where she obtained a B.A. Honours in Psychology. She then married and raised 3 children. When they were old enough, she went back to work as a pharmaceutical representative for 23 years. She started as a general practitioner representative level then to a position of specialist representative. Through all of those years she was involved in several therapeutic fields such as dermatology, paediatry, cardiology, otolaryngology, allergy and pneumology. Also throughout those years, she worked in non-profit organizations from the SPCA’s board of directors to the Horticultural Society. Her hobbies are photography, cooking and horticulture.
What made her a success in her field was her complete dedication to her customers and the passion she had for her job. After a company merger, she decided it was time for her to look outside the pharmaceutical world and to search for a job where she really could make a real difference in people’s life.
After having looked at different franchises, Retire-At-Home was the only acceptable avenue for her. Retire At Home was her choice after she realized the serious requirements in selecting their franchisees and their superior approach to coaching. For her, these are all of the winning conditions for providing the highest quality care for seniors.
Michel Lockquell, Assistant Director
Michel was born in the Quebec City area and has been a Townshipper for more than 40 years now. He has been Marie France’s partner in life for 25 years and is the proud father of two daughters, one living in Montreal and the youngest in Comox, B.C.
He has a MA in Biology from the Sherbrooke University and pursued his career as a teacher and as the Department Head of Animal Health Technics here in Sherbrooke at the French CEGEP.
As a 15 year hobby, he bred Old English Sheepdog and Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. His dogs won dozens of titles in various Canadian and American dog shows. Michel Worked on the same boards than Marie France. He was one of the Eastern Township Kennel Club’s founders and worked on its board while also being the SCWTAC’s president for more than 6 years.
Michel is a humanist wanting to know everything in all spheres of life. He is a gourmet, a philatelist, a handyman and a golfer.
He had been retired for 5 years when Marie France decided to change her professional career and wholeheartedly approved her choice of Retire- At-Home franchisor. He is now back to work full time, in order to support her efforts in providing the high standard of services and health care that our seniors deserve in the Eastern Townships and which Retire-At-Home offers.
